It feels like my family waited until this moment to become screwed up.. Like, we were the perfect family for 17 years, and then I turn 18, go to college, come back and find myself in a place that doesn't make any sense.
I just found out that my parents are sending my brother (20) away to a family friend so he can get over his addiction, which only came to my attention 3 days ago. I had no idea that he was into that stuff.. His plane left at 4 this morning, and he came into my room to say goodbye to me, and I can't believe he left.
I just can't believe any of this is happening.

Because we haven't had enough people die in our lives to understand how easy it is to die. Giving us a ton of metal, with the capability of going very fast is just another way of pushing us away from the reality of this threat..

I think it was a Blink 182 tape that my brother recorded from his friends CD. I was about 9 years old, and going through a skater phase. I've moved on. My favourite bands now are Two Gallants and Modest Mouse.
